In February 2005 we held a 'bake sale' to raise funds in support of the Tsunami Disaster Appeal.

Pump Aid

For our Lenten Project 2008 we are trying to raise £250:00 to buy an 'elephant pump'. This will help communities in Zimbabwe to have clean water for schools, families and crop irigation.

Spring 2007 we supported Sightsavers.
Working with partners last year, Sightsavers helped to:

Junior Church Supporting Others

Our Lenten Project in 2005 was in support of WorldShare, a visiting speaker told us how we could help. The children also sponsor a young girl in Haiti in her education.

Our Lenten Project in 2004 was in support of the South American Mission Society. We learnt about South American children from a visiting speaker

Our 2004 Autumn Term Charity activity was in support of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service

Each Term the children support a charity, either local or overseas and focus on their needs as part of our learning. Often a speaker from the charity will come and share their work with us, helping understand the needs of others.

Junior Church children raise money through saving stamps, coins, bake-sales, decorating plates and other inovative ways. We are always sincerely grateful for the fullsome support given by the whole Christ Church family in supporting the efforts of the children.
